When will my tax documents be available?
1099-Ks are made available for qualifying users around January 31st and Crypto Gains/Losses statements are made available around February 15th. We’ll notify you in the Venmo app and send an email to the address on file with your account when your tax documents are available.
How will Venmo deliver my tax documents?
By default, Venmo issues tax documents to qualifying Users electronically.
If you created your Venmo account prior to July 22nd, 2022, you may also receive physical tax documents by mail. You can opt-in to electronic delivery from the “Tax Documents” page via your Settings.
Electronic copies of your tax documents can be accessed and downloaded from your Venmo app or from a desktop computer:
- In the Venmo app, select Tax Documents from the Settings menu
- On the web, click Settings from the sidebar, then Tax Documents
If you do not see any tax documents available for download, you may not have qualified to receive them from Venmo or they may not have been issued yet.

I want to receive my tax documents by mail. How can I ensure that Venmo has my correct address?
We recommend first making sure that you qualify to receive tax documents from Venmo. If you haven’t received any payments for goods and services on Venmo, we won’t issue a 1099-K to you.
If you do qualify for tax documents and need to update your address, please contact our Support team for assistance. You may be asked to provide proof of your current address.
