We hope you don’t come across inappropriate content from other users on Venmo, but we’ve made it easy to file a report if needed.
How can I report inappropriate content on Venmo?
On the profile, post, or photo you wish to report, tap the three dots in the right-hand corner and select the Report option. If you want to report inappropriate group activity, like an inappropriate group expense, tap on the expense in the group feed and then tap Report expense.
- Please note, the option to report a specific photo is only available for photos uploaded by a business or charity profile. If you need to report a user’s personal profile photo, you can report the whole profile and provide more details in your submission.
You’ll then be taken to a form hosted by our parent company, PayPal. Make sure Venmo is selected and fill out the form to the best of your ability. Tap Send Email when you’re finished, and we’ll take it from there.
I filed a report. Will I get a response?
Each report that’s filed is reviewed by our Account Specialists who handle these types of cases. Regardless of the outcome, Venmo will not provide details of our investigation to the individual who submitted the report. As we value everyone’s privacy, we’re unable to share any details about actions taken on another user’s account.
