It's important to review and secure your Venmo account if your device is lost or stolen. Read on for more help.
What should I do if I lost my phone?
If your phone is missing or stolen, the first thing to do is revoke your phone's access to your Venmo account. Here's how:
- Log in to your Venmo account from a computer you’ve used to access your Venmo account in the past
- You can click here if you don't remember your password
- If you don’t have a remembered device that you can use to log in, you’ll need to confirm your identity another way to sign in
- Select Settings from the sidebar, then Security
- Click "Forget" to revoke access to all open sessions (except for your current Venmo.com session)
You may also want to change your Venmo password if you believe it has been compromised in any way.
I can't sign in to my Venmo account without my phone!
Please contact our Support team from the email address associated with your Venmo account with the following information:
- Your full name, as it appears on your account
- The full phone number associated with your Venmo account
- Details regarding your missing phone
I see unauthorized payments on my Venmo account!
Please contact our Support team with the amount, date, and note of the payments in question. We may need to restrict your Venmo account in order to prevent further unauthorized activity. After that point, our Account Specialists will review your activity and help to secure your account.
