Contactless Payments

How do I use it?
First look for the contactless symbol at checkout everywhere Mastercard^® is accepted. When prompted for payment, simply tap your Venmo card on the payment reader to make your purchase. Make sure you are within an inch or two of the payment reader to ensure it can read your card.

Where can I use it?

Everywhere Mastercard is accepted and you see the contactless symbol  at checkout, you can tap to pay. Use this search to find participating locations near you!

When I tap my card it doesn’t work, what should I do?

If a contactless payment does not work, you can still use your card. You will just need to swipe or insert your Venmo card into the payment reader. If it doesn’t work one time, please note that the error could be with the payment terminal. If contactless payments are consistently not working for you please email us at cardsupport@venmo.com  so we help.
