Want to express yourself in more ways on Venmo? Try adding Bitmoji to your payment notes!
In order to start using Bitmoji, follow these steps:
- Make sure you have an active Snapchat account and version 7.33 or higher of the Venmo app. You can get the most up-to-date Venmo app by checking for updates in the App Store or Google Play Store. (Anyone who receives a payment or request from you will also need version 7.33 or higher of the Venmo app to see your Bitmoji)
- In the Venmo app, tap the “☰” button, and then tap “Settings.” Then, tap “Bitmoji,” and make sure the “Enable Bitmoji” slider is on
- You’ll be taken to the Snapchat app, where you can login and connect to Venmo
Then, you’ll be ready to use Bitmoji the next time you make a payment or request on Venmo! Just look for the Bitmoji icon (even when you split or share purchases on Venmo).
When you use a Bitmoji sticker in a payment, you’ll still need to include a payment note. If you have the Bitmoji keyboard installed on your device, you won’t be able to use it in Venmo—you’ll need to use the sticker picker instead.
