Earn 5% cash back (up to $20) on eligible restaurant purchases made with your Venmo card. But hurry— your restaurant purchases must be made within 30 days of your first Venmo card purchase, or by 6/30/19 (whichever comes first). We’ll drop the cash in your Venmo balance on or about 7/15/19.1
1”Eligible Participant”: Open only to residents of any one (1) of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia who: (1) are eighteen (18) years of age or older; (2) are authorized account holders of a Venmo Mastercard in good standing (“Card”); and (3) receive an authorized in-app notification, e-mail and/or push notification inviting participation in the offer (“Invitation”) (eligibility for/those who receive an Invitation will be determined solely by Venmo) (“Eligible Participant”).
“Eligible Purchase(s)”: “Eligible Purchases” are purchases made using the Card and captured by the merchant during the Offer Period (defined below) in the following category: restaurants (according to the Merchant Category Code (“MCC”) assigned by each merchant, their processor, and the credit card networks). Eligible Purchases do not include: (1) purchases that are marked as “pending” in your Card account as of the end of the Offer Period, (2) ATM transactions, or (3) in-store cash withdrawals/cash back.
“Offer Period”: Starts at the time of the first authorized Venmo card purchase (regardless of MCC assigned to merchant where purchase was made) (“Qualifying Transaction”) and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on the earlier of: (1) thirty (30) calendar days after the date of the Qualifying Transaction (counting the day of the Qualifying Transaction), or (2) June 30, 2019 (“Offer Period”). The time of the Qualifying Transaction is the time at which the transaction occurs, not when it is marked as “completed” in Venmo’s system. A Qualifying transaction is “authorized” when it is successfully processed (if you experience a failed transaction, the Offer Period will not start). Qualifying Transactions do not include: (1) ATM transactions, or (2) in-store cash withdrawals/cash back.
“How to Earn”: Eligible Participants will earn 5% cash back on Eligible Purchases (“Reward”); the maximum cash back amount is $20.00 USD. Eligible Participants must earn at least $0.50 USD minimum in cash back to receive Reward. The Reward will be added to your Venmo account balance associated with the Card that qualified for the Reward and will be paid on or about July 15, 2019.
Miscellaneous: Qualifying Transactions and Eligible Purchase transactions are subject to review and verification. Venmo may provide an alternate reward of equal value if it is unable for any reason to fulfill the Reward for any reason. If an Eligible Purchase transaction is refunded, results in a failed capture, or otherwise does not complete during the Offer Period, that Eligible Purchase will not qualify. Venmo reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify this offer in part or in its entirety at any time without notice, for any reason in its sole discretion. Similar offers may run at the same time; qualification for this offer does not constitute qualification for any other offer. Venmo is not responsible and/or liable for any lost, stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, interrupted, delayed, or misdirected e-mail, Reward, or offer-related materials or correspondence or if any participant’s e-mail address, Venmo account, or other contact information does not work, is deleted, or is changed without participant giving prior written notice to Venmo. Venmo is not responsible for assignment of MCC codes. As a result, cash back will not be awarded if the MCC code assigned to a particular merchant does not fall within a restaurant category, even if you believe that the merchant is a restaurant. Offer is void where prohibited, if Eligible Purchases are not completed through legitimate channels, or if any offer-related materials are counterfeit, altered, defective, tampered with or irregular in any way. Certain offers may not be transferable. Any questions relating to the offer will be resolved in Venmo’s sole discretion and its decisions related to the offer will be final and binding.
