How do customers use my business profile's QR code?
Customers can use their Venmo app to scan your QR code and initiate a payment to your business profile. If you want customers to land on your profile instead of sending a payment, have them search for your business name or username in the Venmo app.
Print or share your business profile QR code
You can print or share your QR code from your business profile in the Venmo app. Follow these steps:
- Tap Charge
- Tap QR Code
- Tap Venmo Me
From this screen, you’ll have options to share your business profile’s code via text message, email, and more. You can also download and print a high-quality PDF of your QR code after tapping the printer icon.
Set up a price-specific QR code
You can use Venmo to create a unique QR code that will take your customers to your business profile and pre-fill a specific price for a transaction.
Go to your business profile in the Venmo app and then follow these steps to get started:
- Tap Charge
- Tap QR code, then Venmo me
- Tap $
From there, you’ll be able to type in a specific dollar amount and hit Set Amount.
Anytime a customer scans that QR code, they’ll be taken to your business profile. When they start a payment to you, the dollar amount will be pre-filled with the amount you set. The customer can still edit the amount on their end, so they’ll be able to add any tips or discounts as needed.
You can only have one preset QR code live in your Venmo app at a time. If you want to provide your customers with multiple price options, we recommend printing or saving a screenshot of each QR code after you create them.
Add your QR code to your device home screen
You can use widgets on your phone to make using your Venmo QR code even faster. These widgets can sit right on your phone’s home screen or lock screen so that your customers can quickly find your profile and make payments. You can even use programable QR codes to pre-fill a specific price on the payment.
