Fees for charity profiles allow Venmo to provide this service for verified charities. Read on to learn more about how these fees work.
How do fees work for Venmo charity profiles?
Venmo charity profile owners are charged a low fee for every donation received of $1.00 or more.
This fee is a standard rate of 1.9%+$0.10 for each donation.
For example, if a donor sends $100.00 to a charity profile, $2.00 of that payment would be charged as a donation fee and the charity profile would receive $98.00.
Venmo is not able to refund this fee. Fees like this help Venmo to continue to provide this service and develop the service further.
Why doesn't the donor have to pay the fee?
The fees for using a Venmo charity profile are charged to the charity rather than the donor.
It’s worth noting that Venmo users who send donations to a charity profile using a credit card will be exempt from the standard 3% Venmo fee on payments funded by credit cards.

Can I get a refund for the fee?
