You can sync your device contacts with Venmo in the app.
If you sync your contacts, Venmo will access the names, phone numbers, and email addresses of your device contacts to improve your search results, let you invite contacts, and as otherwise permitted in our Privacy Statement. You can choose to deny the request if you'd like.
To grant Venmo access to your contacts manually, follow these steps in the Venmo app:
- Go to Pay/Request or Search
- Tap "Sync your contacts"
- Tap Allow
You can also disable Venmo's access to your contacts in your device settings.
Venmo has not automatically added your device contacts as friends since 2022. You'll need to manually add any friends on Venmo, even if you have your contacts synced.
