How can we help you?

Business Profiles Account Settings

Editing your business profile

After you've created your business profile, you can make further changes to your public-facing info through the Venmo app. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to your Profile tab
  2. Tap Edit near the top of your screen
  3. Enter any changes you’d like to make, and then tap Save

The private info on your profile is primarily used to verify your business, and cannot be changed once your profile is created.

You will be prevented from making changes to the following:

  • Legal business name   Employer Identification Number (EIN)
  • Registration type
  • Business phone number
  • Business contact's address
  • Business type (sole proprietor or registered business)
  • Registered business type (corporation or partnership)

If you need to make any changes to your business category, you’ll need to contact Support.

Outside of making changes to your profile, you’ll also have the option to edit marketing preferences for your business profile.

Viewing your business profile

To view your own business profile on Venmo, tap the eye icon at the top of your Profile tab.

This is a read-only view of your profile, so you’ll need to tap on the Edit profile button or go back to your home screen and tap Edit to make any changes.

Keep in mind that you won’t be able to find your business profile when searching in the app.

Sending money to your business profile

You may have the option to complete a balance transfer if you’ve completed identity verification, but you won’t be able to send a regular payment to your own business profile since you’re the owner. Balance transfers enable you to easily move money between your personal account and business profile.

Editing your profile Passcode settings

Under the Passcode option in your personal profile’s Settings, you have the option to create a Passcode for each of your profiles in the app.
