Subscription Manager

How do I manage my subscriptions on Venmo?

You can view and cancel subscriptions billed to a brand you've linked with your Venmo Debit Card or through Pay with Venmo, all from within the Venmo app. You don't need to log in to the merchant's site to cancel.

Here's how to manage your subscriptions:

  1. Go to the Money/Me tab.
  2. Tap Your linked accounts
  3. Navigate to the Manage tab and click Bills and Subscriptions
  4. Select a subscription to view its details
    • Tap Cancel Subscription to cancel it.

Some things to know

  • You must have a Venmo Debit Card in good standing to access subscription details
  • Only subscriptions billed to a brand you've linked with your Venmo Debit Card or Pay with Venmo appear here
  • Subscriptions billed to the Venmo Credit Card aren't included
  • New subscriptions can't be started from Venmo
  • It can take up to 7 days for a new subscription to appear after you sign up
  • If a subscription's payment method changes to a card or bank outside Venmo or you cancel the subscription, it can take up to 7 days for Venmo to reflect that

Do I need to contact the merchant to manage my subscription?

In most cases, no. You can view and cancel a subscription directly in Venmo without contacting the merchant.

You may need to contact the merchant directly if you want to:

  • Sign up for a new subscription
  • Upgrade or downgrade the subscription
  • Switch a subscription's payment method to a card or bank that isn't linked with Venmo

Canceling a subscription in the Venmo app updates its status right away. If you cancel directly with the merchant instead, it may still appear in Venmo for a short time until your subscriptions refresh (up to 7 days).

How do I manage subscription notifications?

  1. Tap your profile picture in the top toolbar
  2. Select Settings
  3. Tap Notifications

Under Push notifications and Email notifications, you'll find a Subscriptions section where you can turn on or off.

Notification Type What is sent When its sent Default Setting
