Venmo Limited time offers
What are Limited time offers?
Venmo Limited time offers provides cash back on Venmo Mastercard® Debit Card purchases with select merchants. If you have a Venmo Debit Card, you can access and use them.
You can locate Venmo Limited time offers by following the steps below.
- Tap the Cards tab
- Select your Venmo Debit Card
- Under the Venmo Stash section, Tap See all, next to Limited time offers
Do offers expire?
Each offer is available to be activated only for a limited time and is subject to availability. Offers are updated regularly, so be sure to check the Venmo app often to see the newest offers available to you.
After you activate an offer, you have a specific time frame to make the eligible purchase and earn the reward. This redemption period can also vary, so it’s important to review the offer details to see when it must be redeemed. Any cash back you earn from eligible transactions will never expire and will be added to your Venmo balance.
How do I earn cash back?
To receive cash back, you must activate each offer and then make purchases with your Venmo Debit Card while the offer remains active. Please note that some offers only earn cash back on the next purchase at that merchant while the offer is active, whereas others can earn cash back on multiple purchases while the offer is active. Each offer will specify this in the details when activated.
Can I deactivate an offer after I activate it?
No, once an offer has been activated, it cannot be deactivated. You are not financially required to use the offer once it has been activated.
Activating an offer allows you to earn cash back if you choose to shop at the merchant. If you don’t shop at the merchant for an offer you activated, nothing will be charged to your Venmo Debit Card, and the offer’s activation will expire.
Everyday Cash Back
What are Venmo bundles and how do they work?
Venmo bundles are a selected group of everyday merchants where you automatically earn cash back when you shop with your Venmo Debit Card. Unlike individual offers that need activation, you choose one bundle and earn cash back at all merchants in that bundle. You can select from the available bundles, but can only opt into one at a time.
How to enroll and manage your bundles?
You can access the bundles in the Venmo app by following the steps below.
- Going to the Cards tab
- Select Venmo Debit Card
- Look under the Stash section
Choose from the available bundles. Once selected, you automatically earn cash back at those merchants without activating individual offers.
Bundles may be discontinued or updated over time. If the bundle you are in ends, you will be able to pick a new one.
How does the cash back percentage work?
Your cash back percentage depends on which Venmo features you use:
- 1% base rate: Default cash back at your bundle merchants
- 2% with Auto-reloads: Turn on low balance automatic reloads (you don't need to use it, just enable it)
- 5% with Direct Deposit: Receive $500+ in Direct Deposit per calendar month
If you qualify for more than one cashback tier above, we will apply the highest tier that you qualify for to the qualifying transaction. For example, if you have enabled low-balance automatic reloads and receive $500 per month in Direct Deposits, you will still only earn 5%, not 7%.
Can I use Everyday cash back and Limited time offers?
Bundles operate alongside the individual limited time offers program. If there's both a bundle reward and a limited time offer at the same merchant, you can earn cash back from both programs on the same purchase.
Can I deactivate my everyday cash back bundle?
You can't turn off your cash back bundle, but you're in control of how you use it. If you don't shop at the merchants, you won't earn cash back.
When will I receive my cash back?
The cash back you earn for each offer will normally be paid to you within 30 days of when you make the qualifying purchase. In some instances, this could take longer.
See the Venmo Rewards Terms for more details on the program.
Where can I see the cash back I’ve earned?
You can see the cash back you've earned in your transaction history under a payment from Venmo Rewards. If you have notifications enabled for "Payment Received," you’ll get both an email and a push notification.
What should I do if I am missing my cash back or have received the wrong amount?
If you're missing cash back, here are a few steps to take:
- Consider Processing Time: Most cash back offers are typically paid within 30 days. Customer support cannot expedite this process. For more details, review the Venmo Rewards Terms.
-
Verify Offer Terms:
- Ensure you meet the terms of the offer (when outlined)
- Activate it before making the purchase (if needed)
- Confirm Transaction Date: The purchase might have been processed after the offer expired. Compare the transaction date with the timeframe you activated the offer.
- Check for Returns or Refunds: If you return an item or receive a refund, we'll adjust your cash back rewards accordingly to reflect the updated purchase amount. For example, if you earn 15% cash back on a $100 purchase, but then return $20 worth of items, your cash back rewards will be adjusted to reflect the new total of $80.
- Review Cash Back Caps: Some offers may have a maximum cash back limit. Make sure to check the offer details to see if there is a cap on the amount of cash back you can earn.
If you’ve checked all these and still believe you are missing cash back, reach out to us for assistance.
