What is the Venmo Debit Card?
The Venmo Mastercard® Debit Card is a debit card that operates on the Mastercard network. It is linked to your Venmo account and allows you to spend your Venmo balance funds everywhere Mastercard is accepted.
You can add your Venmo Debit Card or Venmo Teen Debit Card to Apple Pay and Google Pay digital wallets. Just open the relevant wallet and follow the prompts to add your card. If you run into any issues, please contact our Support team.
How can I get the Venmo Debit Card?
The Venmo Debit Card is currently available to most of our users, and we are actively working on making it available to everyone.
- Open the Venmo app
- Go to the Cards tab
- Look under Venmo Debit Card to get started
If you see the Get in Line message, it means you aren’t yet able to apply for a Venmo Debit Card but hold tight! You don’t need to do anything else, and we'll notify you via email when it's your turn to apply. Our Support team does not have the ability to expedite this process.
Once you’re able to apply for a Venmo Debit Card, we’ll need to confirm some of your personal information.
Once approved, your Venmo Debit Card should arrive within 10 business days. At this time, the card can only be sent to a home address. If more than 10 business days have passed and you have still not received your card, please contact us.

Does it cost money to apply for the Venmo Debit Card?
No! There is no fee to apply for a Venmo Debit Card. However, other fees may apply for the use of the card.
Can I order more than one Venmo Debit Card? Can I add an additional card for someone else to my Venmo account?
The Venmo Debit Card links to your Venmo account. You can only have 1 active Venmo Debit Card associated with your Venmo account, and it must be in the name associated with the account.
Can I use my Venmo Debit Card outside of the US?
Yes, your Venmo Debit Card can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted.
Venmo does not charge international transaction fees, but standard fees still apply. Exchange rates are determined by Mastercard.
Are there fees for using my Venmo Debit Card to get cash?
There may be fees associated with withdrawing cash using your Venmo Debit Card, whether you use an ATM or opt for an Over-the-Counter Withdrawal.
Here are the details: -
- ATM Domestic Withdrawal Fee: $2.50 per ATM withdrawal within U.S. (plus any amounts charged by the ATM owner).
- ATM International Withdrawal Fee: $2.50 per withdrawal from a non-U.S. ATM. This fee will apply even if the transaction does not require a currency conversion.
- Over-the-Counter Withdrawal Fee: $3.00 This fee applies when you withdraw cash at a bank or financial institution, and a signature is required.
- Additional Fees: The ATM owner or bank may charge additional fees.
If you're looking for ways to withdraw cash from your Venmo Debit Card at no-cost, consider these options:
- MoneyPass® ATMs: Withdraw money at no-cost using a MoneyPass ATM within the U.S.
- Cashback with Purchase: You can also receive cashback with a purchase at Point-of-Sale devices at no-cost, provided the merchant accepts Maestro® or PULSE. Confirm acceptance with the retailer at the time of your purchase.
Please note: ATM withdrawals, Over-the-Counter Withdrawals, and cashback at Point-of-Sale devices can only be funded from your Venmo balance.
