Featured posts can highlight your charity profile to a new audience of donors, even if they haven’t donated to your cause yet. Learn more here!
Why did I receive an email about having my charity featured?
If your charity profile is eligible to be featured in the feed on Venmo, we’ll send you an email before publishing your post. You can use this opportunity to decide whether you want to be featured and check your charity profile settings in the Venmo app. You’ll have 5 days to make changes if you don’t want to be featured.
If this isn’t something you’re interested in, you can select Marketing settings from your Settings menu and turn off the toggle for the Feed.
What is the benefit of being featured in the feed?
Having your charity featured in the feed can be a great way to spread the word about what you do or who your charity benefits. Typically, your profile will only be highlighted to friends of previous donors if they choose to share their activity.
Featured posts aren’t tied to donations; they’re a separate opportunity to have your profile stand out to new potential donors on Venmo. If you're eligible to be featured, Venmo can highlight your charity name and photos you’ve uploaded to help tell your story and drive donations from engaged Venmo users. Featured charity profile posts also include a donate button to make new donations seamless – score!
How does Venmo create featured posts?
Featured posts are designed to stand out from other transactions in the feed, and they’re meant to provide potential donors with the essential details of your charity at a glance.
To generate featured posts, we’ll use your charity’s profile photo and background photo. Venmo users who see your post can tap on it to view your charity profile and learn more, or they can tap the Donate button direct from the post itself.
Can I post my own feature or edit a published featured post?
Currently, there isn’t a way to create or edit your own featured post. It’s worth noting that featured posts will include your charity’s profile and background photos, so you can update those images if you’d like to highlight something else on your post.
