Editing your business profile
Once your business profile is published, you can still edit the following via Venmo's mobile app:
- Photo
- Username
- Business display name (can only be updated once per calendar year)
- Description
- Business Address
- Contact methods
You can adjust the above while signed into your business profile by following these steps:
- Navigate to your Profile tab
- Tap Edit near the top of your screen
- Enter any changes you’d like to make, and then tap Save
We cannot edit this information after your business profile is created (This information will be private and is not shared with your customers):
- Legal business name
- Employer Identification Number (EIN)
- Registration type
- Business phone number
- Business contact's address
- Business type (sole proprietor or registered business)
- Registered business type (corporation or partnership)
If you need to make any changes to your business name or category, you’ll need to contact Support.
You’ll also have the option to edit marketing preferences for your business profile. Learn more about marketing your business on Venmo.
Viewing your business profile
To view your own business profile on Venmo, simply tap the eye icon at the top of your Profile tab.
Please note, this is a read-only view of your profile, so you’ll need to tap on the Edit profile button at the bottom of the page or go back to your home screen and tap Edit to make any changes.
Keep in mind that you won’t be able to find your business profile when searching in the app.
Sending money to your business profile
You may have the option to complete a balance transfer if you’ve completed identity verification, but you won’t be able to send a regular payment to your own business profile since you’re the owner. Balance transfers enable you to easily move money between your personal account and business profile.

Editing your profile PIN settings
Under the PIN option in your personal profile’s Settings, you have the option to create a PIN for each of your profiles in the app. Learn more about profile PINs here.
