How do I add money to my Venmo Debit Card in stores?
You can add cash to your Venmo account in-store using your Venmo Debit Card.
Start by locating a Walmart store near you and head to any staffed register (note: this service is not currently available in Vermont, and is not available for Venmo Teen Accounts). Tell the clerk you are looking to add money to your Venmo Debit Card.
A couple of things to keep in mind:
- The processor charges a $3.74 fee for adding cash via this method
- You will need to be able to swipe your Venmo Debit Card physically
- If you’re depositing more than $300, you will be asked to provide an ID that matches the name on your Venmo Debit Card.
Once you make the deposit, you’ll see the transaction in the Venmo app as “POSDEP*CASH” with the store location.
Keep in mind, Venmo does have other forms of adding money that do not contain any fees. Learn more about adding money to Venmo account.
