Using Your Venmo Debit Card

How can I update my billing address for my Venmo Debit Card?

You can update this information in the Venmo Debit Card section of your app. Follow these instructions to update your address for your Venmo Debit card:

  1. Go to the Cards tab
  2. Check under the Venmo Debit Card section
  3. Tap the image of your card
  4. Tap Update under your listed address.

If you are updating your address due to a declined purchase, please note that updating your address does not guarantee that your purchase will be approved. If you experience additional declines, please contact us, so we can take a closer look.

Are there any limits for using my Venmo Debit Card?

Venmo Mastercard Debit Card transactions are subject to additional limits:

  • $2,999.99 per purchase limit

  • $3000.00 daily purchase limit (resets at 12am CT)
  • $7000.00 weekly purchase limit
  • ATM withdrawals, over the counter withdrawals, and cash back daily limit: $1,000.00 (this limit resets daily at 12:00 AM CST)
  • Transaction Limit: 30 transaction per day (this limit resets daily at 12:00 AM CST)

You can find your pending and completed purchases by going to the Me tab in your Venmo app.

Can I use my Venmo Mastercard® Debit Card to make ATM withdrawals?

Yes! You can use your Venmo Debit Card to make cash withdrawals at ATMs or, as cash back when completing a purchase, worldwide.

You can withdraw funds from your balance at no cost when using a MoneyPass ATM within the U.S. and in some U.S. territories. If you run into any issues with your ATM withdrawal please do not hesitate to contact us. 

Note: Look for the Mastercard®, PULSE®, Cirrus® or MoneyPass® acceptance marks for ATMs, and the Mastercard, Maestro®, or PULSE acceptance marks at the Point of Sale.

You'll need your Venmo Debit Card PIN to obtain cash. If you have forgotten the PIN that you set during card activation, you can reset it in the Venmo app by following the steps below.

  1. Go to the Cards tab
  2. Select your Venmo Debit Card
  3. Select Change PIN
  4. Enter new PIN, select Next
  5. Confirm new PIN

Can I see my Venmo Debit Card number in the Venmo app?

Your Venmo Debit Card number is not displayed in the Venmo app. If you’ve misplaced your card, we recommend disabling it in the app and reordering a new one in the app.

Where do I find my card transaction history? 

You can view all of your transaction history including, Venmo Debit Card purchases, ATM withdrawals and fees, online purchases, payments to friends, and more in your personal transactions feed on the Venmo App.

Follow the steps below to view your transactions:

  1. Open the Venmo app
  2. Go to the Me tab
  3. Tap Transactions

You can also view your Venmo transaction history on the web.

If you have questions about a specific transaction, contact us here. Please be prepared to provide us with the name and location of the merchant you paid, along with the date and amount of the transaction.
