Since you are currently not in the U.S. you will not be able to sign into your account. Once you are in the U.S., please reach out to Venmo Support and we will be happy to assist you with your Venmo account.
If you need to send and receive payments while abroad, the best option might be to create an account with our parent company at PayPal.com, as they allow for international transfers.

If you are currently within the U.S., make sure you’re not using a VPN. If you’re still having issues, try using a different Wi-Fi network or disabling Wi-Fi completely.
If you get an error that says “Connection Closed by Peer,” “Error Authenticating,” or “Unexpected Error,” your device’s OS may not be compatible with Venmo. Venmo only works with Apple iOS 14 or Android 5.0 Lollipop (API 21) or higher at this time. Follow these links to check your Android version or iOS version.

Venmo is currently only supported within the U.S. If you try to sign in while abroad, you’ll likely get an error message. We will be able to further assist you with any login issues upon your return to the U.S.
