Business Profiles Payment and Bank Transfer Limits

Outbound Payments and Bank Transfers

Business profiles have separate payment and bank transfer limits from your personal Venmo profile. This gives you greater flexibility with your money in Venmo, so you can spend the money your business receives or transfer that money to your bank without affecting the limits on your personal profile.

If you have not yet completed identity verification for your business profile, your weekly payment limit is $2,499.99. You will also have a weekly bank transfer limit of $999.99.

To verify your identity, select Identity Verification from the Settings menu of your business profile in the Venmo app.

If you have completed identity verification for your business profile, you will have the following limits:

  • Payments to other Venmo users: $25,000 per week
  • Transfers to a bank account or eligible debit card: $49,999.99 per week, including:
    • Instant transfers to a debit card: $10,000 per transfer
    • Instant transfers to a bank account: $50,000 per transfer

There is no limit to the amount of money you can receive to your business profile. Please note that payments and transfers may be declined for reasons other than the limit.

About Weekly Rolling Limits

Some Venmo users have the option to add money to their Venmo business profile, specifically when refunding contactless payments accepted with Tap to Pay.

Eligible business profiles may be able to add up to $10,000 per week using a verified bank account. The limit for adding money using a connected debit card is up to $3,000 per week.

Adding money is not required to make outbound payments from your business profile. You can make payments with the money in your Venmo account or any linked payment methods.

About Weekly Rolling Limits

Most transaction limits on your Venmo account are rolling weekly limits. This means that a transaction counts against a limit for exactly one week from the time of authorization. For example, if you send a payment on a Monday at 11:00 AM, that transaction will no longer count against your limit at 11:01 AM the following Monday.
