Expiring Venmo Debit Cards

I received a notification that my Venmo Debit Card is expiring soon

You'll be notified that it's time to request a replacement Venmo Debit Card within 60 days of your current card's expiration date. For example, if your card expires at the end of December, you'll be prompted to order a replacement in November. Cards expire on the last day of the expiration month.

You can order a replacement debit card by heading to the Cards tab and tapping on your Venmo Debit Card.

Follow these steps to reorder your Venmo Debit Card:

  1. Tap Replace lost, stolen, or damaged card
  2. Select Damaged
  3. If you would like to choose a new color for your debit card, select the pencil icon
  4. Review your info - to make changes tap the pencil icon, or tap Confirm to continue
  5. Select Done

Once you complete this process, you will see a confirmation screen advising you that a new Venmo Debit Card is on its way.

You may be prompted to complete a transaction if you haven't used your old card. You can also update your shipping address by tapping the pencil icon next to your address.

My new card arrived - now what?

It’s important to activate your new card right away once it arrives. Replacement cards that are not activated within 90 days will be permanently closed. Once your new card is activated, the expired card should be destroyed.
