How can I adjust my privacy setting for individual payments?
You can set the privacy level for each individual payment you send or receive. When completing a payment, you’ll see the current default privacy setting. Tap Public, Friends, or Private (depending on your default) to adjust the setting for this payment. Venmo will always use the more restrictive setting selected between payment partners.
You can also adjust the privacy setting for individual past payments you’ve sent or received. Tap on the transaction in your feed, then tap Public, Friends, or Private (depending on the setting for this transaction) to adjust the setting. Learn more about what these privacy settings mean.
Note: You can only make transactions more private. If the transaction was originally set to Private, you won’t be able to set it to Public or Friends.
