Learn about adding a joint checking account to your Venmo profile.
Can I add a joint bank account to my Venmo account?
If you share ownership of a bank account with another Venmo user, you may both be able to use the bank account on Venmo. We now allow up to two Venmo users to share a bank account to fund payments and receive bank transfers on Venmo.
What happens if my joint bank account is marked "Invalid"?
If a joint bank account becomes invalid on one Venmo user’s account, it will be unusable (for payments and transfers) on the other user’s Venmo account, too. Learn more about invalid bank accounts on Venmo.
- Please note, transfers are reviewed which may result in delays or funds being frozen or removed from your Venmo account. Read about transfer reviews.
I received a notification that someone else added my bank account or card to Venmo
If you received a notification from Venmo that another user added your bank account or debit card to their Venmo account, we recommend talking to anyone else who has access to your banking information to determine if they added it to Venmo.
- If you've ever shared your bank or card info with a family member, partner, or roommate, try checking with them first
If you don’t know who added your bank account or debit card to Venmo or are concerned about account security, please contact us immediately.
