Can I add money instantly to my Venmo account with a bank account?
At this time, Venmo users can only do this type of transfer directly from a debit card.
Why aren’t the funds pulled from my bank instantly?
We want to make sure you have the option to get money in your Venmo account right away for those urgent situations when you need it – like when you’re next in line at checkout and realize the money in your Venmo account won’t cover the transaction. Due to the way these transfers are processed, the charge won’t reflect on your bank statement right away. It’ll usually take 3-5 business days for that debit to process.
Can I cancel or change my Add Money transfer after I’ve initiated it?
We aren’t able to change or cancel these transfers once they’ve been initiated.
I’ve been able to use my debit card to add money in the past, but it isn’t available right now. Why not?
We may not be able to offer the ability to use your debit card to add money from time to time. This can be due to security concerns or other factors. It’s also worth noting that this feature is only ever available to Venmo users with an active Venmo Debit Card. If you aren’t able to use your debit card to add money, you can consider using your bank.
