Your charity profile experience should be as seamless as possible. If you’ve received an error, read on for information about what might be causing the issue and what you can do to fix it.
“There’s an issue with your charity account status”
We received a notification from PayPal about the status of your charity account. You’ll need to sign in to your PayPal charity account in order to address this issue. In the meantime, your Venmo charity profile will be unable to receive donations.
“We’re unable to publish your profile” or “Let’s try that again”
These indicate a timeout or connection error. Try again or cancel and exit to start over.
“We can’t confirm your info”
We couldn’t match your information to the owner of your PayPal charity account. If you aren’t the owner of the PayPal charity account and already have a Venmo account with your name, you’ll need to sign in to a different account or create a new account on Venmo.
“This link isn’t shareable”
The link you used to get to this page isn’t a valid entry point. To set up your Venmo charity profile, you’ll need to get started from your PayPal charity account homepage.
“Looks like you’re already on Venmo”
You already have a Venmo account associated with the phone number you’re using. Sign into your existing account or use a different phone number to create a new account for your charity profile.
