Venmo periodically reviews account and transaction activity, including ACH (bank-funded) transfers into and out of Venmo. We may use internal fraud and risk procedures to complete these reviews, which help us assess whether any given Venmo account is likely to cause monetary loss to Venmo.
My standard transfer was declined
In some cases, Venmo's automated review process may choose to decline your transfer attempt. If you encounter a decline, you can try again later.
If you don’t have other options to access your money, the Venmo Support team may be able to help. Please note the following:
- Not all transfers will be approved
- You may be asked to provide documents that verify your identity
