What is a Venmo Credit Card?

A Venmo Credit Card is a Visa branded credit card integrated into the Venmo experience. With a Venmo Credit Card, you can manage your credit card account, split payments, and earn rewards right from the Venmo app.

Use of cash back is subject to the terms of the Venmo User Agreement.  

How do I apply for the Venmo Credit Card?

If you are eligible to apply for a Venmo Credit Card, you will see a Venmo Credit Card section in the Cards tab of the Venmo app or when you log in at venmo.com.

What's the difference between a Venmo Credit Card and a Venmo Debit Card?

The Venmo Mastercard® Debit Card is a debit card connected to your Venmo balance. There is no line of credit offered with the Venmo Debit Card.

A Venmo Credit Card is a Visa® credit card issued by Synchrony Bank.

Venmo Credit Cards and Venmo Debit Cards also have unique rewards programs specific to each card.

How do I manage my Venmo Credit Card notifications?

To adjust your Venmo Credit Card notification settings:

  1. Go to the Cards tab
  2. Select your Venmo Credit Card
  3. Tap Venmo Credit Card notifications

There, you can customize your push notifications and some email notifications for your Venmo Credit Card.  

Where can I use my Venmo Credit Card?

You can use your Venmo Credit Card everywhere Visa credit cards are accepted worldwide, including in the Venmo app.

What’s the difference between my physical card number and my virtual card number?

Both numbers represent your Venmo Credit Card account and can be used for purchases.

Your physical card is best for in-person purchases, but it can be used for online purchases and even Venmo payments too.

Your virtual card is convenient for online purchases, enabling you to copy and paste your card number from Venmo to wherever you’re shopping. Virtual card numbers can also be easily updated for your security.

Can I add my Venmo Credit Card to another virtual wallet?

Yes! You can add your Venmo Credit Card to virtual wallets like Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay™. If you have any questions about adding your card, please reach out to the specific virtual wallet provider.
