How can I dispute a charge on my Venmo Credit Card?

To report any unauthorized transactions with your Venmo Credit Card, please reach out to Synchrony Bank at 855-878-6462. Synchrony agents are available by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Synchrony team can also assist you in filing a dispute for any other reason, should you find an issue with any transactions on your Venmo Credit Card statement.

Can I lock or freeze my Venmo Credit Card?

If you would like to temporarily disable your physical card for any reason, you can do so in the Venmo Credit Card section of your Venmo app. You can return to the same section when you are ready to re-enable your physical card.  

If you would like to temporarily disable your physical card for any reason, you can do so in the Venmo app. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Cards tab
  2. Tap to select your Venmo Credit Card
  3. Tap the image of your Venmo Credit Card
  4. Scroll down to Your physical card and tap the Temporarily disable card toggle

You can return to the same section when you are ready to re-enable your physical card.

While your card is disabled, authorizations will be blocked on the physical card. You may still use your virtual card online or send money and make purchases within the Venmo app. Please note that pending transactions that were authorized prior to disabling your card may still complete.     

I need to replace my physical Venmo Credit Card

If you need to replace a lost, stolen, or damaged Venmo Credit Card, you can do so in the Venmo app:

  1. Go to the Venmo Credit Card section of the Cards tab
  2. Tap to select your Venmo Credit Card
  3. Tap the image of your Venmo Credit Card
  4. Tap Replace lost, stolen, or damaged card

The app will walk you through reporting any unrecognized transactions, confirming your address, and will get you in contact with our partners at Synchrony Bank, if needed.

If you’d rather speak with someone over the phone about your lost, stolen, or damaged card, our partners at Synchrony Bank are able to assist. To reach them, please call the support number on the back of your Venmo Credit Card (855-878-6462). They are available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

I need to replace my virtual Venmo Credit Card number

If you need a new virtual card number for your Venmo Credit Card, go to the Venmo Credit Card section of your Venmo app and tap Request new virtual card number. Once you get a new virtual card number, the old virtual card number will no longer work. Please note: You can only replace your virtual Venmo Credit Card number once every 24 hours.

You can request a new virtual card number at any time in the Venmo app. Requests are limited to once every 24 hours. Follow these steps to get your new virtual card number:

  1. Go to the Cards tab
  2. Tap to select your Venmo Credit Card
  3. Tap the image of your Venmo Credit Card
  4. Scroll down to Your virtual card and tap Request new virtual card number

I want a new PIN for my Venmo Credit Card

If you forgot or haven’t set your PIN for your Venmo Credit Card, you can begin that process by reaching out to Synchrony Bank at 855-878-6462.       

If you know your PIN, you can change it at any time by calling 855-820-5806. You need to know your current PIN in order to change your PIN via this phone number.

I need to access the customer deceased notification form

To assist during this difficult time, Synchrony offers an online form to notify the Bank of the passing of a cardholder. The account record will be updated upon receipt of your submission. You can view and submit this form on Synchrony's website.
