Your Visa+ Payname
A Visa+ Payname is a unique handle, like a username, that you can use to send and receive money to and from people on PayPal and other platforms.
When creating your Visa+ Payname, keep the following in mind:
- Your Payname will start with a “+”
- On Venmo, your Payname will include a “.Venmo” ending, like “+JohnSmith.Venmo”
- Your Payname is unique to the platform you're using it on, so you'll create a different Payname on PayPal if you want to use Visa+ with your PayPal account
- Your Payname can’t be changed after it is created
Payname Requirements
There are a few requirements when creating a Visa+ Payname:
- It must start with a letter
- It must be between 5 and 30 characters
- It can contain only:
- Letters
- Numbers
- Hyphens (-)
- Underscores (_)
If your preferred Payname has already been taken by another user, you’ll need to pick a different Payname.
You may not create a Payname for Venmo that is affiliated with another person or that is otherwise deceptive or misleading.
