I’m not satisfied with my purchase. Who do I contact?
If you’re not satisfied with a purchase you made with your Venmo Mastercard Debit Card, please contact the merchant first. They should be able to assist further.
If you are not able to come to a solution with the business, please feel free to reach out to us. While we don’t guarantee a refund, we’ll work with you to help you come to a solution.
You can read more about Venmo's Authorized Merchant Payment Protection policy here. You can also view the Mastercard® Guide to Benefits for additional details from Mastercard.
How long does a refund take?
The timing for a refund depends on the policy of the business you purchased the goods or services from. Once a refund is issued from the business it will usually take 1-5 business days for those funds to be credited to your Venmo balance.
Will refunds be credited to my bank account, card, or Venmo balance?
Any refunds from purchases made with your Venmo Debit Card will be credited to your Venmo balance. You can locate any refunds in your personal transactions feed under the Me tab. Another option is to head to a computer and go to view your account statement online. All of your completed transactions, including payments to friends, bank transfers, refunds, and your card purchases will be listed.
