What are the rewards for the Venmo Credit Card?

Your Venmo Credit Card earns cash back rewards on all of your eligible purchases. Your Venmo Credit Card rewards experience depends on when you were approved for a Venmo Credit Card. Read on for more details.

During each statement period, you will earn:

  • 3% on your top spend category
  • 2% on your second top spend category
  • 1% on all other eligible purchases and on Venmo person-to-person transactions

Your cash back rewards will be automatically added to your Venmo account at the end of each statement period.
Approved after 9/24/2026

You'll earn daily rewards on your purchases:

  • 3% cash back on Dining & Entertainment, plus 1% more when you split the bill with friends
  • 3% when you check out with Venmo in other apps and online, or when you pay businesses on Venmo and use your Venmo Credit Card to fund the purchase
  • 1% on everything else

Your cash back rewards are automatically added to your Venmo account each day, after your transactions are fully completed.

Use of cash back is subject to the terms of the Venmo User Agreement.  

What other reward settings are available?

You may be able to sign up for Cash Back to Crypto from your Venmo account for your Venmo Credit Card.

Do my Venmo Credit Card Rewards expire?

No, your Venmo Credit Card cash back rewards do not expire. Once the rewards are in your Venmo account, you can use the cash back to pay friends on Venmo, make a purchase with an authorized merchant, make a Venmo Credit Card payment, or you can transfer the funds to a card or bank.
