Will I get a receipt for my Tap to Pay payment?
If you’d like a receipt for your transaction, be sure to let the business profile owner know after completing your transaction. They can enter your email address in their Venmo app to send you a digital receipt with your transaction details.
Your receipt will also show a breakdown of your payment total (including any sales tax applied), contact info for the business you paid, and a QR code that you can share with the business if you need to request a refund.
How do refunds work for Tap to Pay payments?
If you need a refund for a payment made with Tap to Pay, please contact the business you paid. You can find contact information for the business at the bottom of your digital receipt.
When the business issues your refund, the money will be sent back to the card or wallet you used for your purchase. We’ll send you an email confirmation once your refund is in progress, and you should see the funds arrive within 7 days.
How do I dispute a Tap to Pay payment?
If there’s an issue with a payment you completed using Tap to Pay, please contact the business first to see if you can come to a resolution. They may be willing to issue you a refund.
Should you need further recourse, please contact your bank or card issuer to dispute the charge. From there, your financial institution will file a claim with Venmo, and we will open an internal investigation.
