Rankings and Insights can give you a closer look at how your business is performing on Venmo. Read on for info about your ranking, learn what insights mean, and see how you can earn a shiny new badge for your business profile.
What are rankings for Venmo business profiles?
Rankings highlight the most popular business profiles on Venmo, making those businesses more visible to the Venmo community in the app.
Rank in the top 50% of businesses in your area to have your ranking displayed with a colorful badge. Businesses ranked below 50% will have a “not ranked” badge instead.
Higher-ranked businesses will be visible to more people in the Venmo feed and will also be featured in recommended local deals.
Here's how it works:
- Your ranking is determined by how many payments your business collects on Venmo and is displayed with a badge on your business profile to entice potential customers
- Whether you’re performing in the top percentile of businesses in your area or whether you’re just getting started, you’ll get a badge displayed on your profile.
Customers will also see your ranking badge next to your business name in the feed.
How is my ranking calculated?
Your ranking on Venmo is determined in relation to other business profiles in your area.
Rankings are calculated using info from your last 30 days of activity. We’ll look at the number of payments you receive to your business profile and the total dollar value of those payments to determine how you stack up to other businesses in your area.
Your ranking is refreshed daily, meaning we’ll always use the most recent data we have to determine your business profile’s performance.
When are rankings coming?
Rankings and related business profile features will be available in limited release as early as January 2024.
Can I hide my ranking?
Rankings can’t be hidden.
How do I improve my ranking?
Your ranking is determined by the performance of your business profile in relation to other businesses in your area. This means that to improve your ranking, you’ll need to collect more payments using your Venmo business profile. The more popular your business profile is on Venmo, the better your ranking will be.
Where can I find info about my customers and subscribers?
At the top of your Profile tab in the Venmo app, you’ll see the total number of customers and followers for your business profile. Tap on either “Customers” or “Followers” to view a list of Venmo users who have paid and/or followed your business profile.
What does “Payments” represent for my business profile?
The Payments number at the top of your Profile tab shows the number of payments you’ve collected over the life of your Venmo business profile. You can tap this number for more details, like the total dollar amount of payments you’ve received.
How does Venmo calculate my revenue and reach?
Details about your business activity are calculated by looking at the past 7 calendar days.
Your revenue represents the total dollar amount of payments you’ve received to your business profile over the last 7 days.
Your reach represents the total number of unique views your business profile received over the last 7 days. Views include exposure to your business profile in the feed, on your actual profile, and anywhere your promos are featured.
Where can I find more details about my promos?
You can see your current promos and how they’re performing right from your Venmo app. On the Profile tab for your business, look for “Your promos” and tap See more.
For additional details about a specific promo you created, tap “See details” on that promo.
